MMC is hiring Remote CSRs to process MD Medicaid Accounts
• Must live in the State of Maryland***
• Start Date: 11/20/2024
• Pay: $16.63/hr.
• 100% Remote – Must have own equipment.
• Recent call center experience required.
Training Schedule between: 9:30am-6:00pm EST, M-F (Day 1-7) 9:30am-6:00pm EST M-F (Day 8-15) Nesting is 4 weeks between: 9:30am-6:00pm EST.
Monday – Friday Schedules will remain between 9:30 am- 6:00pm after training, you must be committed to working this schedule. Schedules are eight (8) hours in length with two (2) 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch
• Must have perfect attendance during training and nesting (7 weeks) ****** (1) absence during training or nesting can lead to termination.
Equipment: BYOD (Bring your own device) – Requirements below
• Desktop or Laptop with Intel Core i5 Processor or higher with 8GB Memory (No Celeron or Pentium processors) ***
• Desktop or laptop have a minimum of 256GB hard drive.
• Windows 10 or 11
• Minimum of 1 USB Gen 2 or newer port (wired headset)
• 1 RJ-45 connection for a wired connection to internet router
• Wired Headset and microphone with a USB Gen2 or newer connection
• Video camera capability, necessary for training
• NO Mac books, Chromebooks, iPads or Tablets allowed. They are not compatible with our system.
Interne-t Connection Requirements:
• Wired internet connection from computer to router or modem
• Download speed 100 MBPS minimum.
• Upload speed 10 MBPS minimum.
• Must live in the State of Maryland***
Step # 1. Complete the ISP Speed Test – No mobile hotspots or satellite service – You need to complete this action using the computer you will be working on. Your screenshot should look like the example below. Speed test link: https://speed.cloudflare.com/
Step # 2. Please email a screenshot of your computer processor specs. For those who are not tech savvy– Select the “Windows Key” on your computer and type in the word processor in the search bar and the processor information will come up. ABSOLUTELY NO Celeron/ Pentium – so if THE WORD: Celeron/ Pentium is above it, it’s an absolute NO.
Step # 3. Smart Phone- Please respond either Apple Device or Android to this email Minimum Requirements: Android or Apple smartphone with working camera and capability of installing applications necessary for daily system login.
Step# 4 Headset – Please respond to the email with a photo of the headset you will be using for work. Minimum Requirements -Connect to your PC via headphone jack, USB is preferred.
Step # 5 Storage – Please respond to the email with your PC available storage amount. The minimum required for the position is 30GB free space available.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification; other combinations of education and experience will be considered. Background in health care, human services, or customer service. Experience in data entry and call centers. Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse and disadvantaged populations in a courteous and effective manner. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
The Customer Support Center (CSC) at the Maryland Health Connection (MHC) will provide information and assistance for individuals, families, small group employees, and brokers seeking information, enrollment assistance, and other services related to the MHC. The CSC assists individuals regarding eligibility and enrollment for Medicaid, and services applications and enrollments for Qualified Health Plans on the Exchange. The CSC will utilize the State’s eligibility and enrollment portal and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and other State systems to perform all tasks and duties for HIX customers to ensure delivery of high-quality service for all Maryland consumers.
