About the Role
This role is a key component of our Business Intelligence (BI) team, supporting the day-to-day operations of our transportation division. As a Data Analyst, you'll work closely with stakeholders to navigate complex data landscapes, providing actionable insights that drive swift decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Work with large, chaotic, and dynamic datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses that inform critical business decisions.
- Develop ETLs (Extract, Transform, Load) or processes that consolidate data from various sources into unified tables.
- Create data visualizations to monitor and measure the impact of changes and special business initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teams to establish credibility and share relevant insights.
- Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks related to reporting, such as screen captures, metrics prioritization, and anomaly detection.
- Document your processes and share your knowledge with peers, fostering a culture of expertise within the team.
Essential Qualifications
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, demonstrating a solid educational foundation.
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity.
- Creativity and a client experience mindset to develop meaningful Tableau dashboards.
- Business Operations Familiarity, with the ability to understand and root cause business issues. A Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience, is a significant plus.
