The Executive Consultant provides consulting support focused on public safety and risk management, contributing to consultancy engagements and business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Support consulting engagements related to Clery Act compliance, assisting in the preparation and review of Annual Security Reports (ASRs)
- Help evaluate institutional processes for timely warnings, emergency notifications, and crime data collection
- Assist in the classification of incidents and understanding of Clery geography requirements
- Participate in client meetings and workshops to support awareness of compliance obligations. Stay informed on relevant regulatory updates and assist in communicating implications to clients
- Assist in conducting risk and vulnerability assessments across campus environments
- Identify potential safety and compliance gaps and contribute to mitigation recommendations
- Support the development of risk management and emergency preparedness frameworks
- Contribute to reviews of emergency operations plans (EOPs) and related procedures
- Support assessments of campus safety programs, including physical security measures and operational practices
- Gather and analyze data related to institutional safety readiness and risk exposure
- Assist in benchmarking client practices against industry standards
- Help develop clear and prioritized recommendations for safety improvements
- Support the evaluation of public safety technologies such as emergency notification systems and mobile safety applications
- Assist in identifying opportunities where solutions like SafeZone may enhance safety outcomes
- Contribute to implementation planning, including stakeholder coordination and training support
- Assist in developing business cases and supporting materials for technology adoption
- Support the delivery of training sessions and workshops for campus stakeholders
- Assist in developing educational materials and resources related to safety and compliance
- Participate in engagement initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of safety
- Assist in reviewing and updating institutional safety and compliance policies
- Support documentation efforts, including reports, summaries, and compliance materials
- Contribute to preparation for audits, reviews, and accreditation processes
- Identify potential opportunities to introduce SafeZone during client engagements
- Support senior consultants and sales teams by sharing relevant client insights
- Participate in discussions that align consultancy work with product solutions
- Assist in maintaining relationships with client stakeholders
- Support lead generation activities through participation in engagements and follow-ups
- Contribute to identifying client needs that align with CriticalArc offerings
- Ensure consultancy activities remain aligned with organizational goals and solutions
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Public Administration, or a related field
- Foundational knowledge of the Clery Act and campus safety regulations
- Experience or exposure to risk management, safety assessments, or compliance in higher education or similar environments
- Familiarity with public safety operations and emergency response concepts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience working in higher education or campus safety environments
- Exposure to Clery Act compliance processes or audits
- Familiarity with public safety technologies (e.g., emergency notification systems, security applications)
- Experience supporting consulting projects or client-facing work
