The role involves designing and developing complex electronic systems, including FPGA and associated hardware for weapon systems, requiring strong technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance at the DOD Secret level
- Able to identify component operational characteristics that may impact system performance and or sustainability
- Advanced knowledge and skill in analog, power and FPGA design required
- Analysis of the requirements, architecture definition, design and debug of FPGA and associated hardware and microcontroller products and associated firmware
- Analyze system requirements and architect FPGA based processing solutions based on requirements the latest FPGA digital technology
- Analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints and
- Architect, Implement, and verify complex algorithms in FPGAs and Software
- ASIC / FPGA designs will include various sensor interfaces, sequence verification, A/D and D/A interfaces, communication protocols, state machines, timer chains, etc. used in Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (Fuzes) for DOD weapon systems
- Assist in the development of high-level and detailed verification test plans consistent with system requirements and specifications
- Broad experience in embedded system design and solutions for communications systems
- Can work with cross functional teams to define, design, and verify FPGA solutions for radio product development projects
