Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Grant Leading Technology is seeking a candidate for an Intermediate Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will support the design, implementation, integration, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure and platform services that enable secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise data management, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise data platforms and modernization initiatives
- Support the architecture and engineering of cloud-based solutions using AWS, Azure, or other approved government cloud environments
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
- Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines and DevSecOps processes to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, and system administrators to ensure platform scalability, performance, and reliability
- Support cloud migration efforts involving legacy IRS systems and data assets
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization, availability, and operational efficiency
- Implement security controls and configurations consistent with federal cybersecurity requirements and agency policies
- Assist with system integration, platform configuration, and troubleshooting activities across cloud and hybrid environments
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability architecture requirements
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and operational procedures
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical assessments, and modernization planning activities
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in cloud engineering, systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise platform support
- Experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications and data platforms
- Knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and virtual networking
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows server administration
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and automation frameworks
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD principles
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able to pass a Minimum Background Investigation or MBI Clearance
- Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United State
- Currently holds an active MBI clearance
- Experience supporting federal government modernization programs
- Familiarity with IRS Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) initiatives or large-scale enterprise data ecosystems
- Experience with cloud-native services supporting data lakes, data warehouses, analytics platforms, and big data processing environments
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture principles
- Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), FISMA, and federal cloud security requirements
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments
- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and enterprise data management concepts
