[Remote] Legal Writer, Litigation

Price Benowitz LLP is a mid-sized law firm headquartered in Washington, DC, seeking a skilled Legal Writer to support their growing Personal Injury Practice Group. The role involves drafting persuasive litigation materials, conducting legal research, and collaborating closely with attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft and revise litigation materials including motions, complaints, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and briefs
• Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and similar research platforms
• Review, proofread, and edit legal documents for clarity, accuracy, and compliance
• Ensure filings comply with jurisdiction-specific court rules and formatting requirements
• Collaborate with attorneys to support litigation strategy and case development
• Manage multiple writing assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Translate complex legal concepts into concise, persuasive written materials

Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of legal writing, litigation support, or related experience
• Strong legal research and analytical writing skills
• Familiarity with litigation procedures and legal terminology
• Experience with Bluebook citation standards
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately, including awareness of AI-related confidentiality considerations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• JD degree or equivalent legal qualification
• Knowledge of personal injury litigation in Maryland, Virginia, and/or Washington, DC
• Experience with SmartAdvocate or similar case management software
