About the Role Our client, a prominent leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Manufacturing Process Improvement Lead. This position is crucial for driving operational excellence and efficiency across our client's diverse manufacturing facilities by implementing best-in-class process improvement methodologies. You will remotely analyze existing production processes, identify opportunities for optimization, and lead cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement tools, coupled with exceptional leadership and virtual collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor teams in the application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve production processes. Conduct remote assessments of manufacturing operations to identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for efficiency gains. Develop and implement strategic process improvement plans, setting clear objectives and measurable outcomes. Design and standardize new manufacturing processes and workflows, ensuring optimal efficiency and quality. Facilitate virtual Kaizen events and other continuous improvement workshops. Analyze process data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for data-driven improvements. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing efficiency, cost reduction, and quality. Collaborate with plant management, engineering, and production staff to ensure successful implementation and sustainability of improvements. Share best practices and drive standardization of processes across multiple manufacturing sites. Maintain comprehensive documentation of process improvements and their impact. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong focus on process improvement and continuous operations. Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma (Black Belt certification highly desirable). Demonstrated success in leading and implementing significant process improvement initiatives. Experience with data analysis tools and techniques to support decision-making. Exceptional leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills, particularly in a remote team environment. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective virtual collaboration. Ability to travel to manufacturing sites periodically as needed for project oversight. Must possess a dedicated home office setup with reliable high-speed internet.
