Worldwide Express is seeking a Mid-Market Account Executive who will focus on growing a book of business by increasing volume from existing customers and acquiring new accounts. This role involves solution-based selling and requires collaboration across various departments to provide long-term value for customers.
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and penetrate mid-market accounts with annual logistics spend between $1M and $20M
- Conduct high-level discovery meetings to uncover pain points in a prospect’s current supply chain
- Collaborate with internal experts to architect multi-modal solutions incorporating Small Parcel (UPS), LTL, FTL, and fully outsourced Managed Transportation
- Own the entire process from initial cold outreach and presentations to contract negotiation and final implementation with support of WWEX solutions, pricing and implementation teams
- Act as a subject matter expert on industry trends to consultatively sell against market volatility
- Maintain a robust and accurate pipeline within our CRM, ensuring consistent activity to hit and exceed aggressive annual quotas
Skills
- Logistics Sales Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, customer service
- 5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain
- Competitive and motivated mindset with a passion for new business development
- High energy, with a passion for your personal brand and the ability to carry yourself like an executive
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, quota-driven, results-oriented environment
- Ability to think strategically about the impact to the client's long-term business strategy
- Proven success in generating/qualifying leads through prospecting new business
- A documented history of winning and managing deals in the $1M - $20M range
- Mastery of consultative selling techniques and the ability to challenge a prospect's status quo
- The drive to manage a national, non-geographic territory with minimal supervision
- Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with Directors, VPs, and CFOs
