Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DRUM Associates is a leading publisher and distributor of children's books and educational technology. They are seeking a Project Manager to coordinate small to midsize projects within the Access Team, ensuring project visibility and adherence to Agile practices.
Responsibilities
- Status Reporting: Maintain trackers and provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and issues
- Work Breakdown: Break down tasks into manageable components; call out tickets that are needed rather than authoring them directly
- Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify project challenges and recommend solutions to resolve them
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare clear, concise, and error-free presentation materials and reports
- Agile Practices: Run agile ceremonies and apply mature Agile methods and processes to improve project efficiency
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation and knowledge sharing
- Cross-Team Coordination: Manage risk and dependencies across Product Owner (requirements) and Tech Lead (technical solution) workstreams
Skills
- 3-5 years of relevant Project Management experience
- Experience managing small to midsize projects in a corporate environment
- Experience with onshore/offshore delivery models
- Track record of successfully delivering projects in a matrixed organization
- Experience working on product development projects
- Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban, and Product Operating Model
- Ability to manage scope, schedule, and resources for small to mid-sized projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and project management tools
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities
- Leverages AI tools to support project tracking, reporting, and other core PM tasks
- Experience with Agile practices and tools (Jira, Confluence preferred)
- Agile-related Project Management certifications a plus (e.g., CSM, CSPO)
- Product Operating Model — Silicon Valley Product Group training a plus
- Prior experience developing and operating customer-facing products in the Ed Tech industry preferred
