Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ChurchAI is a venture-backed startup focused on helping churches retain their congregation through data insights. They are seeking a Sales Development Representative to manage outreach to potential clients, engage in conversations with church leaders, and set up meetings for the Account Executives.
Responsibilities
- Run daily outbound activity — calls, emails, and follow-up — against a defined target list of churches
- Research accounts and identify the right person to reach: usually a Connections Pastor, Assimilation Director, or Executive Pastor
- Open conversations about the back door problem and qualify against our ICP (church size, management system, staffing, growth stage)
- Book and confirm discovery meetings for the AE team, and protect the sit rate by prepping prospects well
- Maintain clean, current pipeline data in monday.com — notes, next steps, and dispositions on every account you touch
- Feed the loop: bring objections, pushback, and patterns back to the team so our messaging keeps sharpening
Skills
- You are comfortable on the phone with strangers and you don't flinch at a no
- Strong written communication — you can write an email a busy pastor will actually finish
- Disciplined with your own activity; you can hit a number without someone standing over you
- Coachable and fast to adjust. We will give you direct feedback and expect you to use it
- Organized enough to keep a CRM honest
- Able to work effectively from home and travel quarterly for team sprints
- 1+ years in an SDR, BDR, or high-volume outbound role
- Experience selling into churches, nonprofits, or ministry organizations
- Familiarity with church management systems (Planning Center, CCB, Breeze, Pushpay)
- SaaS or startup experience — comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities
