Optomi is seeking an experienced SAP Finance Functional Consultant to support the separation of project delivery and production support for SAP Finance applications. This role focuses on leading SAP Finance initiatives, managing projects from inception to deployment, and ensuring smooth transitions to ongoing support teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP Finance initiatives with a primary focus on General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Manage projects from requirements gathering through design, testing, deployment, and production rollout
- Coordinate SAP configuration activities with technical and functional SAP resources
- Partner with business stakeholders to define project scope, priorities, and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with Release Management to coordinate deployments and regression testing activities
- Work closely with integration teams supporting API-based interfaces and dependent upstream/downstream systems
- Ensure successful transition of completed projects into the Application Management Services (AMS) support organization
- Coordinate across multiple teams to manage project dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones
Skills
- 7+ years of experience leading SAP Finance implementations or delivery initiatives
- Strong functional knowledge of SAP Finance, including General Ledger (GL) and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Experience leading full project lifecycles from planning through production deployment
- Experience working with SAP configuration teams and functional consultants
- Knowledge of API-based integrations and enterprise system interfaces
- Experience partnering with Release Management and coordinating testing and deployment activities
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills
- Experience working within enterprise finance organizations
