Elation Health is a leading cloud based electronic health records platform for independent primary care physicians and healthcare innovators. They are seeking a high-impact Senior Accountant to serve as a key architect of core accounting processes and drive systems automation to support the company's financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Month-End Close: Own core close processes for assigned areas such as cash automation, AP, accruals, and prepaids, etc. while ensuring the ledger is audit-ready and compliant
- Modernize Financial Operations: Identify and lead automation initiatives for close workflows, leveraging ERP functionality (NetSuite) and building AI agents (through Claude / Notion / etc.) to improve quality and reduce time-to-close
- FP&A Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally to provide data-driven insights, supporting budget vs. actual analyses
- Compliance & Audit: Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to help manage federal and SALT (State and Local Taxes) compliance, ensuring a seamless and efficient audit process
- Scale Systems & Controls: Maintain and enhance "SOX-lite" internal controls and documentation as we transition toward a more mature, automated reporting environment
Skills
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
- Expert level knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets
- Comfortability and experience with AI tools
- Someone who is looking to learn and grow in the position
- A proven track record of building and improving processes from scratch
- Ability to own problems end-to-end and exercise sound judgment
- High attention to detail, strong organization skills, and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
- Experience at a high-growth SaaS environment
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite
