About the Role Our client, a prominent national engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their remote team, focusing on the design and management of complex water systems. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, design, and execution of large-scale water, wastewater, and stormwater management projects. Conduct advanced hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, system analysis, and feasibility studies. Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, design specifications, and construction documents. Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and resources effectively in a remote setting. Provide technical direction and mentorship to project teams across various locations. Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project success and compliance. Ensure designs adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and best practices. Review and approve designs, calculations, and technical documents prepared by team members. Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in water systems engineering. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license required; relevant state licenses are a plus. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on water systems. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex water infrastructure projects. Expertise in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, EPANET, SWMM) and CAD platforms. Strong understanding of water quality, distribution systems, treatment processes, and stormwater management. Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, suitable for a remote work environment. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision. Must have a dedicated home office setup and reliable high-speed internet. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
