The role involves providing hands-on accounting support in various capacities, including Interim Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, and M&A Specialist, while fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Perform and review journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure the accuracy and organization of the chart of accounts
- Play a pivotal role in executing or overseeing the month-end close process and provide critical support in preparing accurate financial statements and reports
- Lead efforts to improve accounting workflows and processes, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance
- Review and validate account reconciliations and journal entries while addressing complex accounting issues and ensuring adherence to best practices
- Provide detailed financial analysis and expertise during the due diligence phase of M&A transactions
- Collaborate closely with clients to identify risks, opportunities, and essential considerations within the transaction lifecycle
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA or equivalent certification highly valued
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting (Big Four or Next Ten) or a mix of public and industry experience
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including team collaboration and client-facing discussions
- Passion for helping clients with a strong interest in operational accounting
- Proven ability to identify challenges, implement solutions, and deliver with precision
- Ability to act and lead as the client contact
- High-level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Master's degree in accounting
- Expertise with ERP systems, especially NetSuite
- Familiarity with supplemental tools like FloQast, Blackline, Workiva, and Carta
