Unisys is a global information technology company, and they are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead multiple large and complex projects. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, overseeing project execution, and ensuring adherence to project management standards.
Responsibilities
- Independently manages multiple large and complex projects requiring high levels of functional integration and procedural change management
- Manages large cross-functional project teams comprised of business and technical team members
- Plays a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, processes and tools to enable effective project management and success
- Oversees projects with complex business and technical challenges
- Addresses escalated issues requiring both technical depth and business acumen to solve, ensuring minimal disruption to the project and to the business
- Determines and coordinates sharing of leveraged resources among projects
- Defines, implements and consults on project management standards and processes for relevant teams or projects
Skills
- BA/BS degree and 6-8 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally in the public sector or with government clients
- Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget
- Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Trello for project tracking and reporting
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile certifications preferred)
- Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and compliance requirements
