They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and enhance a next-generation geospatial content production workflow platform, focusing on backend services and workflow orchestration systems.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Go, Python, and JavaScript to support end-to-end workflows
- Design and develop scalable workflow orchestration and processing systems for high-volume production environments
- Support and extend existing measurement pipelines, including performance-critical components
- Ensure strong test coverage, system reliability, and performance optimization across platform services
- Troubleshoot complex issues across frontend applications, backend services, and processing layers
- Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, maintainability, and observability
- Own the delivery of backend and platform components from design through production readiness
- Collaborate with technical leadership to translate architecture and product requirements into implementation plans and technical solutions
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews, design feedback, and engineering best practices
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and integration challenges, communicating tradeoffs effectively
- Promote engineering excellence through maintainable code, reliable service boundaries, and operational visibility
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, CloudOps, and global engineering teams to deliver platform capabilities
Skills
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with Go, React/JavaScript, and Python
- Experience designing and building backend APIs and workflow-driven systems
- Experience developing scalable, cloud-based distributed systems
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD practices, tools, and cloud-based deployments
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills
- Proven experience delivering production-grade, enterprise-scale software solutions
- Experience working within Agile development environments
- Strong system design skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in dynamic environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts
- Experience designing workflow orchestration or job processing systems
- Exposure to high-throughput or high-concurrency service architectures
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted and agentic coding tools and methodologies
- Experience assessing and driving non-functional improvements across software platforms
- Experience collaborating with distributed engineering and product teams
- Intermediate/Advanced English skills with strong communication abilities
- Self-motivated, quick learner, and adaptable to new technologies and legacy systems
