Diverse Health is a woman-led, BIPOC-owned virtual care platform delivering culturally sensitive primary care and mental health services to underserved communities. They are seeking Software Engineer and Product Development Engineer Interns to help design and develop proprietary digital tools including a Salesforce-integrated CRM system and a user-centered mobile application.
Responsibilities
- Support development of a custom Salesforce CRM tailored to patient journeys and care delivery
- Build automations and dashboards for provider and care coordination workflows
- Integrate CRM with internal operations and communication systems
- Participate in designing a secure and accessible patient-provider platform
- Collaborate with internal teams to define platform requirements and roadmap
- Develop key features that address accessibility and culturally responsive care
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and data security across front- and back-end infrastructure
- Explore third-party API integrations for scheduling, referrals, insurance, and labs
- Culturally inclusive health assessments and digital literacy tools
- AI-assisted navigation and personalized content
- Peer support features and health education channels
Skills
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field
- Familiar with Salesforce, React, Firebase, or equivalent frameworks
- Strong interest in building tech solutions for equitable healthcare access
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and excited to work in a mission-driven environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance or FHIR protocols is a plus
