Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Remote Legal Staff is a company dedicated to connecting talented legal professionals from around the world with U.S. law firms. They are seeking a Senior Account Manager who will manage client relationships and lead a team of Account Managers, ensuring high standards of client service and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of senior or higher-complexity client accounts, managing the relationship from onboarding through ongoing engagement
- Run client-facing calls: kickoffs, candidate reviews, interviews, and check-ins; with the polish and judgment expected of a senior team member
- Set clear expectations with clients, surface issues early, and proactively resolve problems before they escalate
- Build strong, long-term relationships that drive retention and client satisfaction
- Lead a team of Account Managers, owning their day-to-day performance, development, and quality of client work
- Run regular 1-on-1s, coaching sessions, and call reviews with your direct reports
- Serve as the escalation point when a client situation on your team needs a more senior voice, stepping in directly when needed
- Review your team's client communication and account hygiene, raising the standard and giving direct feedback
- Help onboard and ramp new Account Managers as the team grows
- Coordinate with the recruiting team and other internal functions on behalf of your team, removing friction so your AMs can focus on their clients
- Spot patterns across accounts: recurring issues, training gaps, process breakdowns; and bring them forward so we can fix them at the system level
Skills
- Team lead or management experience is required. You have led a team of at least 2–3 client-facing people. This is non-negotiable
- 3+ years of B2B client-facing experience in account management, client success, staffing, or a similar role. If your background is exclusively B2C or call center, this role is not the right fit
- Excellent spoken and written English. You will be representing RemoteLegalStaff directly with U.S.-based legal clients and coaching others to do the same. Communication quality is non-negotiable
- Available to work U.S. business hours with a start time between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM PST
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail across a wider surface area than your own accounts, you can hold the standard for your own book and your team's book at the same time
- Strong communicator who can run a professional call, manage expectations, and write clearly and concisely, and who can teach others to do the same
- Familiar with project management tools (Monday.com, ClickUp, Jira, or similar) and Google Workspace
- Good judgment on fit, quality, and when to escalate; you are not just moving things through a pipeline, you are making real decisions and helping your team make better ones
- Comfortable giving direct feedback; you can tell an Account Manager their email was not good enough and explain exactly why, without making it personal
- Confident and poised when speaking with attorneys and legal professionals; our clients are lawyers and you need to hold your own in those conversations, including when stepping in on a situation your team has escalated
- Composed under pressure; client situations move fast and your team will look to you to stay steady when they do
- Self-starter who manages their own workload and their team's priorities without needing heavy oversight
- Preferred backgrounds: staffing, professional services, financial services, or other service-based B2B environments
- Experience in legal is a plus, but not required
- Previous remote or hybrid work experience required; fully remote experience strongly preferred
