Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Gates Corporation is a leading manufacturer of application-specific fluid power and power transmission solutions. They are seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive sales of automotive and heavy-duty products, focusing on building relationships with existing customers and expanding into new markets.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for territory sales of $14+ million annually
- Researching customer needs and developing a plan by account to increase sales of products and services
- Take responsibility for effective communication internally and externally
- Build trust by addressing opportunities and concerns in a timely manner
- Implement sales strategies to accelerate growth of all Gates products in existing and new markets
- Monitor competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition
- Perform product changeovers and new product set ups at customer locations
- Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
Skills
- 2+ years of Field Sales Experience or Industry Experience Considered
- High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excel comprehension is very important to this position
- Ability to work flexible hours and locations depending on position and travel requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- Travel required for this position is 50% - 70% as you work from a home office. Most nights are at home, with the potential of 15 - 20% of your traveling being overnight
- Passion for or willingness to learn about the automotive industry
- Understanding and utilization of CRM tools is preferred
