Job Summary
Responsible for analyzing revenue cycle processes and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement in billing, collections, denials management, and overall financial outcomes. Conducts data analysis, develops reports, makes recommendations of, and supports execution of performance improvement initiatives. Collaborates with revenue cycle teams and stakeholders to implement solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and patient experience. Provides analytical insights to ensure alignment with organizational revenue goals and operational standards.
Essential Functions
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets revenue cycle data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepares regular reports, dashboards, and presentations to recommend prioritization of and to provide ongoing support to performance improvement initiatives across revenue cycle functions.
• Collaborates with revenue cycle staff and leadership to evaluate workflows and recommend process enhancements.
• Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks against organizational and industry standards.
• Supports root cause analysis of denials, delays, and inefficiencies within revenue cycle processes.
• Participates in performance improvement projects, documenting progress and outcomes.
• Ensures compliance with organizational policies, payer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Utilizes analytics tools, databases, and financial systems to extract and validate data.
• Provides technical and analytical support for audits, process reviews, and compliance initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree
Experience Requirement: 2+ years of experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
