We currently offer remote work for those residing in the following states: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.   *To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.   GENERAL SUMMARY (What is done and why) The SBA Closer for United Federal Credit Union will drive loans to close from the proposal stage through to closing.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, IN PRIORITY ORDER (Majority of duties, but not meant to be all inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary) 1. Demonstrate and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the SBA SOP as well as knowledge of other SBA programs as applicable. 2. Partner with Business Development Officer to organize file and determine items needed in support of getting deals from the Proposal stage into Underwriting. 3. Review and analyze credit approval conditions to prepare a Closing Checklist and provide guidance to the client through the closing process. 4. Collect and review all due diligence documentation. 5. Order third party reports. 6. Ensure loans are closed in accordance with the credit approval and SBA SOP Guidelines. 7. Perform other duties as assigned.   Education (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position) ·   Bachelor’s degree   Experience (Minimum experience required to perform the duties of this position) ·   Experience in SBA Lending preferred.   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Minimum technical and communication skill levels and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position) ·   Exceptional communication skills both externally with clients, and internally with team members. ·   Tenacity and ability to drive a process while simultaneously managing many moving processes. ·   Strong attention to detail. ·   Excellent organizational and time management skills. ·   Excellent technical and computing skills, including proficiency in the following: Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF type software.   Required Competencies ·   Problem Solving ·   Dealing with Ambiguity ·   Demonstrates Courage ·   Drive for Results ·   Interpersonal Savvy ·   Customer Focus ·   Integrity and Trust ·   Self-Development ·   Business Acumen   Mental Requirements ·   Ability to work under pressure. ·   Proven problem-solving abilities. ·   Ability to analyze and evaluate information. ·   Ability to interpret policies, guidelines, and regulations. ·   Ability to concentrate in a multi-task environment. ·   Ability to work independently.   Tools and Equipment Used ·   All available general office equipment as needed. ·   All available computer software and hardware as needed.   Working Relationships/Contacts (Positions with which incumbents have frequent contact) ·      Daily, personal/written/phone contact with Credit Union staff. ·      Daily, personal/written/phone contact with Credit Union members. ·      Daily, personal/written/phone contact with third party vendors.   Physical Demands (Physical effort generally associated with this position) Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most work is done from a seated position. Must have mobility to move throughout the Credit Union, as necessary. There is potential for eyestrain from reading the computer screen. Deadlines, workloads, and pressure to achieve goals may cause increased stress levels.   Working Conditions (Typical working conditions associated with this type of work and environmental hazards, if any, that may be encountered in performing the duties of this position) Internal - Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties.
