This is a remote position. Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) requires a Senior Information/Records Management/Recordkeeping Specialist (ATIP) to support the processing of a large and complex Access to Information request — approximately 40,222 pages. This work is tied to a complaint/order from the Office of the Information Commissioner of Canada, and the request must be fully processed, reviewed, consulted on, and released — including interim releases — by the fixed deadline of August 1, 2028. WAGE advances equality with respect to sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or expression through the inclusion of women and 2SLGBTQI+ people in every aspect of Canada's social, economic, and political life. Due to limited in-house capacity, WAGE needs an experienced ATIP specialist to manage this voluminous file from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Develop and document a project plan with appropriate milestones and work objectives to meet the fixed delivery deadline Process and complete the Access to Information request in full accordance with the Access to Information Act Conduct and document consultations with third parties as required under the Act (via OneNote, email to the ATIP Coordinator, and the processing system) Engage directly with the requestor for clarifications as needed Engage with the Office of the Information Commissioner as appropriate Plan and execute periodic interim releases, with appropriate consultations and justifications documented for the ATIP Coordinator Apply severance decisions in alignment with the Act and relevant jurisprudence, with documentation provided to the ATIP Coordinator Produce lessons-learned documentation on processing voluminous ATI requests within small institutions, for the Project Authority and ATIP Coordinator Deliverables Project Plan — accepted upon written review and approval by the Project Authority Processed ATIP Request — accepted when the final release is issued in compliance with the Access to Information Act and within the mandated deadline Lessons Learned Documentation — accepted upon written submission and approval by the ATIP Coordinator Requirements Demonstrated knowledge of the Access to Information Act, related Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) policies and directives, and current ATIP practice Experience processing large-volume, complex Access to Information requests, including managing internal and external consultations (some sequential) and interim releases Experience applying severance decisions in accordance with the Act and applicable jurisprudence Eligible to obtain or currently hold a Level II (Secret) security clearance English or French language proficiency (Essential)
