Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in interacting with business units and other Systems area personnel to design, develop, and implement IT solutions that effectively support our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business units and Systems area personnel to document requirements and design IT solutions within an Agile environment.
- Perform solution analysis, technical discovery, solution design, development, and implementation to support business needs.
- Partner with functional groups to clarify and document business requirements, use cases, and business rules.
- Ensure clear and complete project requirements to deliver continuous business value.
- Build partnerships with business and technical representatives to create a team atmosphere and solve problems.
- Conduct structured interviews, create workflow diagrams, and perform gap analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Negotiate with business partners to identify phased approaches to attaining desired future states.
- Document findings, formulate alternatives, and finalize recommendations.
- Mentor team members, assist in cross-training, and improve technical skills.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of applicable business/solution analysis experience.
- PC desktop software skills, including MS Office Product Suite and Visio.
- Skilled in writing SQL queries.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with emphasis on pro-active brainstorming and debating dialogues.
- Experience with interviewing, researching, and documenting findings.
- High energy, positive thinking, and an assertive personality.
- Strong leadership skills and knowledge of data mapping.
- Agile experience and understanding of how technology can enhance the business environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Life Insurance applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Ability to read XML and JSON data models.
- ACORD and Web Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience.
