Key Responsibilities Source and vet reliable carriers, negotiating competitive rates for trucking, rail, and intermodal services. Build and maintain strong relationships with both clients (shippers) and carriers. Manage the entire lifecycle of freight shipments, from booking and tendering to tracking and final delivery. Analyze shipping needs and provide customized logistics solutions to clients. Resolve any shipment issues, delays, or damages promptly and effectively. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to manage loads, optimize routes, and track performance metrics. Stay informed about market trends, industry regulations, and technological advancements in freight transportation. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery. Develop strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to freight operations and brokerage activities. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics coordination, or supply chain management. Demonstrated success in negotiating freight rates and managing carrier relationships. In-depth knowledge of various transportation modes (FTL, LTL, intermodal, ocean, air). Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other relevant logistics software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen business acumen. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment. Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Based in or willing to commute to the Minneapolis, Minnesota area for hybrid work requirements.
