Position Description As a Senior Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership to innovate, design, and optimize Identity and Access Management at GEICO. You will drive the strategic technical roadmap, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and unlocking new engineering capabilities. Position Responsibilities As a Senior Manager, you will: Lead the strategic design, development, and optimization of GEICOs Identity and Access Management platforms. Manage a team of highly skilled engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster professional growth and development. Collaborate closely with upstream Identity and Cyber communities to contribute to open source maintenance and enhancements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Ensure the security, availability, and performance of our IdP and IGA applications implementing rigorous measures to safeguard critical assets. Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, guiding the team in recommending and implementing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement. Define and enforce best practices and standards for OATH for our applications and fostering a culture of excellence, efficiency, and accountability. Collaborate with application team to implement RBAC/PBAC/ABAC solutions that reduce sensitive data exposure, thereby enhancing data security and minimizing the risk of unauthorized access. Create JIT and Zero Trust standards and processes for privilege identity management to ensure strong lifecycle management and governance for the identities that have access to GEICOs most secure assets and data. Stay at the forefront of emerging identity trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to enhance GEICOs identity protection strategies. Utilize agile methodologies to effectively prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet project deadlines. Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating alignment and understanding across teams. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Deep understanding of security principles and technologies in the Identity and Access Management domain: RBAC/PBAC/ABAC, SSO (OAUTH/SAML), Active Directory, Cloud IdPs, Passwordless (Passkey/Hardware Token) and related concepts. Demonstrated ability to design and implement resilient, scalable, and efficient solutions. Deep understanding of Identity Governance and Compliance policies and practices Extensive experience in partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to production, demonstrating a track record of successful collaboration and delivery. Strong familiarity with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code practices, driving efficiency and agility in development and deployment processes. Fluency in DevOps concepts, Cloud Architecture, and operational frameworks, enabling effective deployment and management of cloud-based infrastructure. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security risks and vulnerabilities. Excellent communication skills, able to communicate complete technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. One or more of the following certifications are highly desired: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Experience 6+ years of professional experience in building Identity and Access Management platforms, processes, and governance for large enterprises at scale 6+ years of experience with open-source frameworks is desired. 5+ years of experience in design, architecture and implementation of highly secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise grade platforms and applications 5+ years of hands-on work experience supervising 10+ personnel in a technical environment. 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or Bare metal Education Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience #LI-JV1 Annual Salary $110,000.00 – $261,500.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidates work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
