What You'll Do
As a Student Professional Worker I, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and tasks, including:
- Assisting in collecting and analyzing statistics, doing research, and making investigations and special studies in a variety of occupational fields
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, press and radio releases, and other materials
- Assisting in the administration of psychological and other tests to patients
- Assisting in the performance of laboratory tests and analysis
- Assisting in the group supervision and training of juvenile wards of the courts
- Assisting in identifying and cataloging birds, mammals, and fossils
- Assisting in processing writs and judgments, filing legal documents, and making entries of legal action
- Assisting in work related to the administration of manpower programs for the disadvantaged
- Acting as a guide for student tours of County departments
- Performing related clerical work as required
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited college with academic standing equivalent to sophomore, junior, or senior year
- Have a valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions
- Be able to lift up to 10 pounds and perform light physical effort, including bending, stooping, or squatting
