Job Title: System Engineer - Linux / Unix

Job Summary:
• Under minimal supervision, provides specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines, with general knowledge of related technologies and application implications.
• Responsible for in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
Key responsibilities include:
• Planning and conversion for new hardware/software products.
• Maintaining, debugging, and configuring software products.
• Operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning, and hardware upgrades.
• Developing or modifying operating systems applications from specifications.
• Assisting with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Interfacing with other support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve efficiency.
• Preparing product documentation and gathering customer requirements.
Minimum Requirements (Required):
• Experience: 8+ years in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology).
• COTS Maintenance: Hands-on experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product maintenance.
• Certification: Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
• Certification (IAT Level II).
Additional Required Skills:
• 4+ years of experience with application maintenance on UNIX/Linux/Windows servers.
• 4+ years of solid experience in Azure IL5 GovCloud, including managing AKS environments using Azure CLI/Kubectl.
• 3+ years of experience deploying Helm charts using ArgoCD.
• Experience with MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server.
• 2+ years of experience with DoD/DLA networks.
• Advanced technical knowledge in applications programming, including system design, updates, firewalls, storage, and retrieval methods.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with eDiscovery tools (Exterro, Mystic, Veritone).
• Experience with Docker containers.
• DLA-approved Computing Environment certification.
Education:
• BS/BA degree in a relevant IT field OR 5 additional years of related experience.
