- Prepare and file accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Analyze financial information and documents provided by clients.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including keeping up-to-date with changes in tax codes.
- Communicate with clients regarding tax-related matters and respond to inquiries effectively.
- Assist clients with tax planning and advice to minimize liabilities and maximize deductions.
- Conduct research on tax issues and prepare necessary documentation for tax audits.
- Collaborate with other accounting professionals within the team to support client needs.
- Maintain accurate records of tax filings and client communications.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in tax preparation and filing for individuals and businesses.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance.
- Familiarity with tax preparation software (e.g., TurboTax, H&R Block, or similar tools).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
