We are hiring a Technical SEO Manager to lead audits, guide strategy, and support the rest of our SEO team. This person must be highly skilled in technical SEO and able to work across many different platforms — not just WordPress. You must also have a developer-level understanding of how modern websites are built and deployed.
The right candidate should be confident in spotting SEO issues before clients do, working directly with code or GitHub environments when needed, and mentoring junior team members.
We need someone who can take ownership of site health, solve complex SEO problems across a range of tech stacks, and create clear monthly plans — not just react to checklists.
You’ll start with a trial period focused on real SEO tasks so we can confirm a strong fit before assigning full team ownership.
Responsibilities
Run full technical audits on client websites and identify real issues
Fix or guide fixes for broken links, redirect errors, crawl/indexing issues, structured data, and Core Web Vitals
Create clear month-by-month SEO roadmaps for each client
Work across many platforms — including WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, custom CMSs, and modern front-end frameworks like React or Framer
Review code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), troubleshoot SEO issues in GitHub, and collaborate with developers as needed
Communicate clearly with other team members, developers, and project managers
Mentor junior SEO team members and help them grow their technical skillset
Respond quickly when something goes wrong — like traffic drops or site errors
Requirements
Strong background in technical SEO (audits, crawl/indexing, migrations, etc.)
Developer-level knowledge — ability to work in or alongside environments using GitHub, React, Framer, headless CMS, or other modern frameworks
Comfortable reading and troubleshooting code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript at minimum)
Experience across multiple CMS platforms, including non-standard or custom setups
Fluent in tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, etc.
Can create clear processes, set priorities, and guide a team
Strong written and spoken English — must explain technical topics clearly and simply
Bonus Skills
Experience managing deployments via GitHub or similar version control tools
Familiarity with APIs, webhook setups, and SEO impact of front-end frameworks
Background working with high-risk or complex industries
Prior team leadership or internal process building
What Success Looks Like
You discover and fix technical SEO issues without waiting for direction
You help standardize monthly workflows and make the SEO team more reliable
You improve communication between SEO and development
You make the team stronger by raising the baseline technical ability across the board
