About the Role:
We're looking for a dedicated and experienced educator to provide targeted support to Title I students, helping them bridge the gap in reading and math skills. As a Title I Tutor, you'll work closely with classroom teachers, Building Administrators, and other stakeholders to identify student needs, develop instructional plans, and track progress.
Responsibilities:
- Administer reading and math tests to identify student achievement levels
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to determine instructional needs and develop plans
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction in reading and math
- Maintain accurate records and track student progress
- Assist with data collection and reporting for state and federal agencies
- Participate in professional development, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences
Requirements:
- Minimum of 32 core college credits or a minimum score of 460 on the ParaPro Praxis
- Knowledge and skills in teaching math and reading, including phonetic pronunciation
- Ability to administer standardized tests and work with students, staff, and the public
- Computer skills, including word processing, email, and spreadsheets
- Previous experience preferred, but not required
