Transactions Specialist - Hybrid

The California Department of Aging is dedicated to serving older adults and individuals with disabilities across the state. They are seeking a Transactions Specialist to manage personnel and payroll transactions, including employee benefits, new hire onboarding, and maintaining compliance with privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Independently performing the full range of personnel and payroll transactions for the California Department of Aging (CDA)
• Processing employee benefits, conducting new hire onboarding, and preparing salary determinations and Requests for Personnel Action for all appointment types
• Researching and resolving issues related to pay, leave, and benefits
• Reconciling and auditing personnel and payroll documents for accuracy and compliance
• Maintaining Official Personnel Files in accordance with state and departmental requirements, and processing time sheets
• Managing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable privacy and employment laws when handling all employee information

• Submitting a current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678
• Including a resume with the application
• Submitting a Statement of Qualifications with the Employment Application (STD. 678)
