Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare lesson materials and classroom curriculum tailored to individual student needs
- Assist the lead teacher in developing and adapting teaching methods to meet students' unique needs
- Work with students in small groups to provide targeted support in reading and math
- Provide extra support to students with physical, mental, or linguistic limitations
- Maintain detailed records of student progress on instructional or behavioral goals
- Support students with assistive devices and technologies
- Perform specialized tasks to achieve instructional and behavioral objectives
- Assist SPED teachers with behavior modification procedures and IEP implementation
Requirements and Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience working in an elementary school setting
- At least one year of experience working with RtI or SPED students (for certain aide positions)
- High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in education or related field preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse students, teachers, and staff
