Supports Property Development construction projects through the administration and preparation of Construction Contracts between TJX and General Contractors. Ensure proper approvals and execution of the construction contract. Oversee execution of payment processing and performs General Accounting and Compliance Functions such as invoice processing, account coding, systemic entries, and compliance testing. Make recommendations regarding contract compliance issues to various levels of Property Development Management, Risk Management and Legal. Major Areas of Responsibility Construction Contract Compliance and Execution Leads team in preparing high dollar amount construction contracts and proper execution thereof (~700+ / $330M) Lead Contractual payment processing Ensure payment tracking in Excel is done in accordance with management expectations Complex Contracts & Invoice Processing In all complex contracts, determine at which point to involve Risk Management and/or Legal. Acts as main liaison to facilitate dialogue with partners. Examples of such include mechanics liens that incorporate different state laws, insurance limits. Lead all aspects of non-contractual payment processing Accounting and Compliance Performs quarterly testing to determine if Sarbanes-Oxley Controls are working as designed, including facilitating and keeping the Department Narrative current. Doing so requires extensive knowledge of the business and coordination across different departments. Raises potential issues to management and makes recommendations based on past experiences to solve or develop processes to remediate. Coordinates with Corporate Compliance on complex matters such as redesigning controls. Reviews and approves Oracle Journal Entries and Webadi’s when accounting adjustments are made by team members Leadership & Development Leads and Develops a team of 5 Senior Contract Administrators Partners and fosters relationships with external General Contractors and suppliers. Partners with internal Legal, Risk Management, BP&A, Accounting teams. Utilize data and technology to continuously enhance department efficiencies Other Performs year end Accounting functions including processing and developing accruals. Assists and partners with Oracle and Finance teams with New Store set ups via Oracle and Fixed Asset Key creation. Assists Processing non-contractual and Special Project Invoices (~1,600) as needed Who We Are Looking For: You. Bachelor's degree in Business-related field or equivalent. Minimum 3-5 years of subcontracting and procurement experience in construction contracting. Basic knowledge of general construction industry contracting practices preferred General knowledge of GAAP Experience in contract management and familiarity with legal terminology preferred. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
