**About the Role**
We're seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to join our Dallas office. As a critical member of our business team, you'll be responsible for growing new business opportunities and achieving individual sales targets. **Key Responsibilities**
* Proactively build and develop relationships with potential clients to increase sales potential and meet sales objectives
* Own the effectiveness of the sales cycle from start to finish, with a focus on closing deals
* Utilize CRM in HubSpot to track and move business through the pipeline and sales process for accurate forecasting
* Provide cost estimates, credit terms, and plan sales for orders received
* Work with clients to create customized solutions and ensure a smooth sales process
* Identify new potential customers through professional references, client referrals, and other means
* Gather sales data to track the effectiveness of sales efforts and adjust strategies to improve results
* Respond to current and prospective clients about products, installation, pricing, and lead times in a manner that adheres to sales practices and promotes clear communication
* Understand and communicate motivation programs/contributions to clients, as applicable
* Plan and maintain sales reports and account management
* Enter new client information and other sales data for current clients into the CRM database
**Essential Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
* Proven sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
* Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Master's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
* Experience in the energy efficiency industry or a related field
* Familiarity with CRM software, particularly HubSpot
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
