About the Role and Responsibilities
The Event Server position is a critical part of our events team, responsible for the set-up, execution, and breakdown of events. The ideal candidate is professional, personable, adaptable, and able to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing availability by updating your schedule to indicate times you can work events, ensuring flexibility and reliability.
- Demonstrating excellence in guest service, interactions with co-workers, and compliance with uniform and grooming standards, upholding our high standards of hospitality.
- Serving passed foods, beverages, or plated meals to guests, replenishing food stations or bars, and attending to food stations, bars, buffets, or coat check with comprehensive knowledge of all items.
- Assisting in unloading and loading equipment, products, or goods to and from event venues, capable of handling up to 50 pounds of weight, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in both event space and back-of-house areas.
- Upholding sanitation, health, and safety standards across all areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests and team members.
- Performing any standard duties or tasks assigned related to service setup, execution, and breakdown, demonstrating versatility and a willingness to support the team.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- One or more years of experience as a waiter in a fine dining, large scale dining facility, or similar field, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional hospitality.
- A commitment to offering exceptional hospitality, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for our guests.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to multitask, managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment, contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours, with a willingness to adapt to changing event schedules and requirements.
