Job Summary and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Behavioral Health unit, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality, patient-focused care to individuals with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders
- Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
- Administering medications and monitoring patient responses
- Providing education and support to patients and their families
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a current license to practice nursing in Massachusetts (or be eligible to receive or renew)
- Have a strong foundation in behavioral health nursing, with experience in assessing and treating individuals with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders
- Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Be committed to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care and service excellence
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:
- BSN or higher degree in nursing
- Experience in behavioral health nursing, with a focus on psychiatric and substance abuse disorders
- Certification in behavioral health nursing (e.g., CARN, CPRN)
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and support junior staff members
