Join Our Team as an Academic Coordinator in the Department of Counseling
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Academic Coordinator in our Department of Counseling. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to the Department Chair and faculty, ensuring the smooth operation of our academic programs. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Department Chair and faculty, including organizing and coordinating events, meetings, and activities
- Manage departmental inventory, facilities, and equipment, ensuring everything is in proper working order
- Coordinate classroom usage, maintain departmental funds, and track expenses
- Act as Departmental Property Administrator and maintain logs of fixed assets
- Assist with faculty recruitment, onboarding, and other processes related to faculty management
- Provide support for student registration, major/minor declaration, and other student-related processes
- Serve as the primary liaison between the department and other units on campus
- Maintain the department website and manage student employee hiring and workload
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- General knowledge of office management procedures and techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of WFU budget system and financial and accounting procedures
- Experience with database programs and other software applications
