Key Responsibilities
As a Part-time Faculty member, you will be responsible for:
- Providing substantive, timely feedback to students on various assessment activities, including assignments, quizzes, and exams.
- Managing and maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive student-centric learning environment that encourages engagement, collaboration, and academic excellence.
- Completing required tasks on deadlines, including final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, and input for grade appeals.
- Maintaining appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, when applicable, to stay current with the latest developments in data science.
- Providing feedback to the course lead regarding the course content, including suggestions for improvement and updates.
- Identifying at-risk students and collaborating with student services to provide support and resources.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- A Doctorate in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of practical or research experience in building Machine Learning or Deep learning models in Python, and/or R programming.
- 2+ years of research or practical experience in the field of Data Science or Data Analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
We also prefer candidates with:
- 1+ year of teaching experience in data science, Data Analytics, or Data engineering.
- Experience serving on doctorate dissertation committees.
- Experience with Tensorflow, Pytorch, Keras AutoML, and AWS SageMaker.
- Predictive Analytics and forecasting experience in different disciplines.
- Experience with online teaching in higher education with working adults.
