The Digital Integration team is an innovative and fast-paced team responsible for leading all aspects of Disney Parks' social media channels and blog. As the official flagship social media team, we create and publish engaging content on various social media platforms, showcasing the magic of Disney Parks. We're looking for a highly motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our team and contribute to the development of our digital content strategy.
Job Summary
We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join our Digital Integration team for the Spring 2025 semester. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to apply your classroom skills in a real-world setting, working closely with our team to create engaging digital content and manage our social media channels. This is a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, content creation, and digital planning, while being part of a dynamic and creative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of social media content strategies across various platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Create and curate high-quality, engaging content for Disney Parks' social media channels and blog, including writing, editing, and publishing posts.
- Manage and maintain our social media calendar, ensuring consistent posting and minimizing downtime.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve our content strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Communications, and Imagineering, to ensure aligned messaging and branding.
- Assist in the management of our content management system, including WordPress and image/video editing software.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and concepts for social media content.
- Contribute to the development of our social media style guide and ensure consistency across all channels.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree (or recent graduate) in Social Media, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Shown proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with WordPress or similar online blog tools, content management systems, and image/video editing software.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- In-depth understanding of social media platforms and current trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internships or experience in digital marketing or social media.
- Experience with Sprinklr or similar social content management platforms.
- Passion for the Disney brand or previous Disney experience.
