Key Responsibilities
As a Tax Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert tax advice and guidance to customers using Intuit TurboTax products
- Preparing and filing federal and state individual 1040 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software
- Managing product/software inquiries and resolving customer issues in a professional and timely manner
- Utilizing government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver accurate answers to customer questions
- Interacting with customers through video and audio tools, providing a professional, friendly, and confident experience
- Documenting customer interactions to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software
- An active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a professional, friendly, and confident manner
- A dedicated hardwired internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria
- The ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a customer-facing role, preferably in a tax preparation or financial services environment
- Familiarity with Intuit TurboTax products or similar tax preparation software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to seek out and deliver accurate answers to customer questions
