Job Overview:

The Patient Benefit Representative plays a vital role in facilitating all components related to insurance and benefit analysis prior to the delivery of services. This position requires a strong understanding of various insurances, payor requirements, and the ability to stay up-to-date on industry developments. Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing patient appointments and/or admissions to obtain information related to out-of-pocket financial responsibility
• Securing necessary authorizations and performing insurance management
• Coordinating with insurance companies to ensure timely reimbursement

Qualifications:

• Experience with medical terminology and insurance plans preferred
• High School diploma required; some college helpful
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under stress
• Physical requirements: ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs, prolonged standing and walking, and ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat
